kibizz:

My entry for Kayla Shevonne’s floral nail art contest.  There are lots of lovely designs - check it out!

The first two pictures are definitely the most colour-accurate; was running about the house like a maniac trying to catch the last of the light, haha!  Was worried this might be a disaster but really pleased with how it turned out.  Very happy and summery, appropriate for this (rather rare) Scottish sunshine!  Wondering what I could call it…’Honolulu Hippie’, perhaps?!  Also toyed with the idea of dotting the centres of my flowers but think I made the right choice not to…I think.

Base is Sinful Colors Snow Me White.  Flowers all made with a dotting tool, using: Barry M Turquoise (lighter blue), Cyan Blue (darker blue), Berry Ice Cream (lilac-ish); Rimmel Tangerine Queen and Perfect Plum (darkest purple); 17 Love (pinky purple); OPI Be a Dahlia Won’t You?; H&M No Mambo Jambo (greeny-turquoise); and Zoya Tosca.  Nubar Foundation and Diamont.  Phew!

I am SOOOO in love with this design!!  I didn’t expect it to turn out this nice.  The french tips on the ring finger adds a nice touch too.  I started with a white gradiant to cover my icky, slightly-yellow nail tips; 100% natural nails aren’t as pretty as I wish they’d be.  On the bright side, I started a Biotin supplement yesterday which will hopefully strengthen my natural nails so they don’t crack so easily.  I hope you guys enjoy this design :)

Products used:
OPI Alpine Snow
China Glaze Flyin High
